In a bid to meet the trading and travelling demands between the economic and tourism hubs of Vietnam and Cambodia, Vietjet has unveiled plans to introduce a new route between Ho Chi Minh City and Phnom Penh, effective from November 24.
As well as being the political, cultural, and trade centre of the country, the Cambodian capital attracts a lot of tourists with the many Khmer architectural buildings, typical cultural styles and traditional handicraft shops.
The new schedule will be beneficial mutually in both destinations, hence boosting tourism and economic development that grow rapidly.
Vietjet obtained an official IATA member with IOSA's (IATA Operational Safety Audit) certificate. Culture of safety is a significant integral part of all commercial airlines culture.
Currently, the airline operates a route network covering destinations nation-wide and more than 30 regional destinations in Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, China, Japan, Hong Kong and Myanmar, operating a fleet of A320s and A321s with average age of 3.3 years old.

The airline was named as one of the Top 500 Brands in Asia 2016 and “The Best Asian Low Cost Carrier” at the TTG Travel Awards 2015, “The most favourite carrier in Vietnam” by the Economic Times.
